About Us
Girard Stoneware, a creation of cousins Andrew and Pat Girard, opened its doors at 30 Beekman Street for business on September 20, 2008. Girard Stoneware has earned praise from local press, including the Albany Times Union and Post Star newspapers.
Pieces from Girard Stoneware are featured in local restaurants including the Local Pub and Tea House as well as Gotchya’s, both on Beekman Street. Girard Stoneware vases can also be found at Rena’s Fine Flowers.
Potter Pat Girard creates each piece individually by hand. Before co-founding Girard Stoneware, Patrick served as an apprentice for four years to internationally renowned artist, Regis Brodie. Patrick graduated from Green Mountain College in Vermont in 2006 with a degree in Fine Arts.
With the addition of the Girard Stoneware online store in October 2008, customers now have the convenience of shopping online or in person.
