Saratoga Springs is a small city in Northern New York that is well known for it's "healing" springs and as home of the Saratoga Race Course, the oldest thoroughbred race course in the United States, known for it's major stakes races, most notably the Travers Stakes. Lake George is a 32-mile long lake in the southeast corner of the Adirondacks and has been referred to as "Queen of American Lakes" ever since Thomas Jefferson used the phrase in a letter. The lake is rich in American history for events occurring here during the French and Indian Wars and the American Revolution. Lake George Village is a well known tourist destination, hosting millions of visitors a year.
Glens Falls is a small city along the Hudson River in Northern New York which has historically served as the main supply center of the Adirondacks, a role which it held until the second half of the 20th Century. It was, and still is, known for it's paper mills. It was nicknamed "Hometown USA" in a famous feature story in Look Magazine in 1944. It is currently undergoing a creative revival and remains an important center of arts and commerce.
In the 1760's, Queensbury was home to Quaker settlers and remained a rural farm area surrounding Glens Falls until the second half of the 20th Century when shopping centers started springing up, eventually making it the main business and professional district of the Glens Falls Region.
Ballston Spa is a small village just south of Saratoga Springs, also known for it's healing springs. In fact, it's springs were so well known that in the early 19th century, it was home to the biggest hotel in the United States. Ballston Spa is the birthplace of Abner Doubleday, the creator of baseball. It is currently thriving, with a driving force of creative entrepreneurs and artists leading the way.
Located just 10 miles north of the southern tip of Lake George, Bolton Landing is currently known as "Gateway to the Islands" in reference to its convenient location as launch site for visitors to access the hundreds of nearby islands used for camping. It is also home to the historic Sagamore Hotel, currently a major destination of the rich and famous. The list of notable residents and visitors is long, and mostly private. Bolton Landing was the fond home of the famous 20th Century Sculptor David Smith.

Lake Placid is a small village in the High Peaks area of the Northern Adirondacks. It has been patronized by the rich and famous since the 1800's. Lake Placid is best known as twice hosting the Winter Olympics, first in 1932, then in 1980. During the 1980 Olympics, the most famous event in American sports history occurred, when the US Hockey Team upset the Soviet Hockey Team, universally considered to be invincible, an absolute mismatch for the American Team. It is also a world class summer destination for nature enthusiasts and anyone looking to spend time in a beautiful natural setting.

North Creek is a quaint hamlet near the Central Adirondacks and is a well known ski town associated with Gore Mountain which is considered by enthusiasts to be one of the top ski destinations in the east. It is also an access point and supply center for hikers, bikers, rock climbers, white water rafting, fishing and all manor of wilderness activities. It is also boasts first rate lodging opportunities as well as great restaurants and shopping.
Warrensburg is a small town which has historically served as the last convenient supply outpost for people venturing into the Central Adirondacks. Both the Hudson and Schroon rivers flow through Warrensburg, creating major opportunities for recreation and enjoyment. It also hosts "The World's Largest Garage Sale" every year in October.
